ensure that the input pdfs are similar dimensions

I just tried it out, and while it works fine, although one of the pdfs is much bigger that the other one. When I checked the individual ones, this is in fact the case, but the combine file makes it difficult to read the smaller pdf without magnifying it greatly, which then makes the first one too big to read comfortably.
